As has been reported widely in the media, Capita, who provide PIC’s pension administration services, recently suffered a cyber-incident. We understand that Capita interrupted the unauthorised access to their systems on 31 March 2023 and moved swiftly to isolate and contain the issue. We have since been told by Capita that around 2% of our policyholders may have had some of their data compromised during the cyber-incident. On Tuesday, 24 May 2023, we posted a letter to all of our policyholders who we believe are affected. If you do not receive a letter about this in the next few days, then please do not be concerned. PIC takes incidents of this nature very seriously and we continue to invest in our cyber security measures to ensure our systems are resilient.
